Hi, I'm Shawn Kushner, a Computer Engineering student at The College of New Jersey.

My name is Shawn Kushner, and I am a student pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering at The College of New Jersey. As a student at TCNJ, I am committed to advancing both my academic and professional growth. I am proud to have completed two previous internship positions and assumed the role of Captain on TCNJ Men's Swim & Dive Team. With these opportunities, I have acquired knowledge in electrical and computer hardware/software, alongside valuable leadership skills.

Professionally, my recent internship as an Industrial Internet of Things & Innovation Intern at Volvo Construction Equipment has equipped me with a solid foundation. As an intern, I found myself working on multiple projects across various domains in engineering. Some of these projects included developing a prototype for the VCE Upskill Cobot Project. Here, I gained hands-on experience in programming an industry-grade Cobot from Universal Robotics. Strengthening the research and analytical skills necessary to integrate a solution into a complex system, such as the manufacturing workflow.

In my experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at TCNJ's Collaborative Robotics and Intelligent Systems Lab I gained many technical skills that I can put towards future applications. My project consisted of designing a computer vision based human vs. robot Connect 4 for the Reactor-X 200 Robotic arm. I gained valuable practical experience in implementing decision algorithms and data management techniques in Python.
